Welcome to the Red Deer Marlins Summer Swim Club

Red Deer Marlin Swim Club Competitive Swim Camp:
Come join the inaugural Red Deer Marlin Swim Club Competitive Swim Camp.
Your athlete will experience guest coaches, two swim sessions per day,
appearances by a sports nutritionist, sports imagery specialist, flexibility
/stretching instructor and a motivational speaker. On the final day of camp,
there will be an unsanctioned time trial for your swimmer to try out all the new
tricks, skills and see their improvement. Enhance the summer swimming experience
and take your child's athletic experience to the next level.
When:
Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10
Ages: 6 - 18 years
Times: 8:30am -
4:00pm

- Coaching Concerns Protocol:
Parents need to first
speak to coaches regarding their concern. Coaches are available through e-mail
or phone for complaints or concerns as it is important not to bring this up in
front of the other parents and swimmers.
If you do not feel the coaches have
handled your situation appropriately the coaching committee will then take your
complaint or concern.

We will then have a meeting
regarding the complaint or concern and we will decide on what further action may
need to be taken.
- Extra Equipment List:
Susie Ledene has offered to
volunteer her time to put together a extra equipment list.....if there is anyone
who has equipment that is to small for their kids that they would either like to
give away or sell please contact Susie with your items. Susie will then put
together a list that you will find in the newsletter and on this site. You can
reach Susie at skasawal@shaw.ca. Please
list all items along with the amount you would like for them.

Registration and Withdrawal Policy:
No further registrations will be accepted after
30-Apr-2009.
Club registration fees may be paid by post-dated-cheques. The total registration fee must be paid for each swimmer,
and will not be prorated for swimmers intending to swim for a portion of the season.
The club is required to pay a registration fee to the Alberta Summer Swimming Association. If you decide to withdraw
your swimmer from the club before May 30th and the president is informed in writing of your decision, your
registration fees will be refunded, less expenses incurred by the swimmer (A.S.S.A. registration etc.).
Refunds after May 30th will be for medical reasons only.
