Red Deer Marlins 2012 Program Guidelines:

The Red Deer Marlins offer a learn-to-competitive swim program for ages 4 - 99.

Our Precompetitive Program is offered in two different groupings:

1. Ages 4+ - unable to complete one length of the pool, and
   
   
2. NEW this season: Ages 7+ - unable to complete one length of the pool

Competitive Program:

• Ages 5+ - able to complete one full length of front crawl.
  
  
• Squad 1 – able to complete one length of front crawl.
  
  
• Squad 2 – Ages 5+ Experienced Competitive Swimmer and has mastered all 4 competitive strokes.
  
  
• Squad 3 – Ages 9+ Experienced Competitive Swimmer and has mastered all 4 competitive strokes.
  
  
• Squad 4 – Ages 12+ Experienced Competitive Swimmer and has mastered all 4 competitive strokes.
  
  
• Masters – Ages 18+ The Marlins are looking to build a Masters Program with participants interested in competing at a Provincial level or pulling participants from our existing membership.
  
  
• Swim Fit – Ages 11+ Participants interested in learning the fundamentals of competitive swimming and are not interested in competing at the swim meets. Great way to cross train for other sports or to just stay in shape over the summer.

Evaluations and Feedback:

Please take time to complete the online feedback form - we can only know what is working well and how make our club better with your feedback.

Online Courses for Officials:

Please go to the http://www.swimofficials.ca/ site to register and take various officials courses (timing, stroke and turn, etc). Taking these courses helps the club as officials are always needed at swim meets.
