Marlins swim to 19 medals

Red Deer Marlins swimmers won a total of 19 aggregate medals during weekend meets at Ponoka and Edmonton.
Owen Halford, Adam Hucal, Kyra McMurray and Jennifer Engler were aggregate gold medalists in the six-and-under boys,
eight-and-under boys, 9-10 girls and 18-and-over girls categories at Ponoka, where Sydney McMurray earned an aggregate
silver in the 9-10 girls class, as did Jillian Engler in the 15-17 girls division.
Aggregate bronze-medal winners at Ponoka were Julie Gosling (9-10 girls), Jon Snydal (9-10 boys), Jane Gosling (11-12 girls)
and Karlee Jit (15-17 girls).
Owen and Claire Halford (9-10 girls) garnered aggregate gold at Edmonton, as did Sefrah Daviduck (15-17 girls)
and Jillian Engler. Silver medalists were Jennifer Engler and Tyrel Brown (15-17 boys), while Kaden Schiller
(eight-and-under boys), Kyra McMurray and Jon Snydal (9-10 boys) won bronze.
Meanwhile, Claire Halford set her second provincial record of the season at the Edmonton meet in the 25m backstroke.
