Registration
Accepting Registrations for the 2013 Season!
Due to anticipated high enrolment numbers, the Red Deer Marlins are capping registrations at 125 athletes.
These openings shall be filled by those who are swimming competitively with the club. The remainder of the
openings will be made available to those athletes that are choosing to swim for training purposes (eg: triathletes).
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

If you would like to join our club please:
- Attend our registration on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Michener Aquatic Centre Gymnasium, 51A Street and 38 Avenue, or
- Contact Jana Raivio or Lisa Keeler
How to Register:

Step 1:

Print and fill-out the Red Deer Marlins Registration, Medical Contact, and Parent Conduct forms.

Step 2:
|
Bring all of the applicable forms (above) on registration day. A t-shirt is included in your registration, please bring your child to registration for sizing.

Bingo Policy:
You may opt to "pay-out" or work bingos:
- Pay-out Bingos - one cheque required.
For example, if you are registering two swimmers you may pay out your bingos by writing one cheque
for 3 bingos per swimmer x $150.00 x 2 swimmers = $900.00. Cheques payable to: Red Deer Marlins
- Work Bingos - 3 cheques required.
3 bingos must be worked per swimmer. If you prefer to work bingos you may sign-up on any of the dates
shown on our bingo schedule. In this case, you MUST bring three (3) cheques per swimmers which
will be deposited if bingos are not worked. The sign up sheets will be colour coded for facilitate the
thirds. You can start banking your bingo before registration.
All families must complete:
- 1/3 of their bingos by June 30, 2013
- 2/3 by September 30, 2013
- 3/3 by December 31,2013.
If the above requirements are not been met then your cheque(s) will be deposited.
Registration and Withdrawal Policy:
No further registrations will be accepted after April 30th or registration
cap of 125.
The club is required to pay a registration fee to the Alberta
Summer Swimming Association. If you decide to withdraw your swimmer from the
club before May 30th and the president is informed in writing of your decision,
your registration fees will be refunded, less expenses incurred by the swimmer
(A.S.S.A. registration etc.). Refunds after May 30th will be for medical reasons
only.
Swim Suits:
Our competition swimsuits and swim caps will be black detailed with the Marlins logo. During registration,
our competition swim suits and clothing will be made available for fitting. Orders for swim suits and other
clothing (ie: sweat pants, hoodies, etc.) are made on registration day. (Note: the Marlin swim cap is
mandatory for swim meets).
Note: Alternate equipment sizing is 27-Mar-2013 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Red Deer College (outside Main gym).
